Some yards just need a full reset. Bare spots, compacted soil, and patchy grass are problems that don't fix themselves - and seeding alone often isn't enough. When the ground is working against you, starting fresh with new sod is the right call.

Here's what we tackled on this one. We pulled out the old material, brought in fresh topsoil to give the new grass a healthy foundation, and installed new edging to define the beds cleanly. Black mulch went in along the foundation to sharpen up the border between the lawn and the beds. Then we laid new sod across the yard.

The prep work is what actually matters with sod installation. Skipping the topsoil step or rushing past grading issues is how you end up with sod that struggles to root. We don't cut corners there. Good soil prep means the sod knits in faster and holds up better long-term.

The edging and black mulch detail along the foundation is a simple touch that makes a real difference. It gives the yard a finished, intentional look - not just a lawn drop with nothing tying it together. Clean lines around the beds go a long way.

If your yard has spots that just won't grow, soil that drains poorly, or areas that have been neglected for years, sod installation might be exactly what it needs. We handle the whole process from ground prep to final installation so you don't have to piece it together yourself.
