Sometimes landscaping just gets away from you. Shrubs that were once manageable start pushing up against the house, sprawling into the walkway, blocking windows. Before long, the whole front of the home feels closed off and heavy. That's exactly what we were working with here.

The overgrowth was significant. Large shrubs and tangled growth had taken over the entire front bed - crowding the entry and making the home feel smaller than it actually is. We cleared it all out, cleaned up the bed edges, and got the space back to a clean, workable state.

Once the removal was done, we laid fresh dark mulch along the foundation line. That's really where things came together. A clean bed edge paired with fresh mulch does a lot of heavy lifting visually - it grounds the home, makes the siding pop, and gives the whole front yard a sense of order. No new plantings needed. Just the right cleanup in the right spots.

This is a great example of why landscape cleanups are so underrated. You don't always need a full redesign. Sometimes removing what's there and starting fresh with clean beds and mulch is the smarter move - and it shows. The home went from being hidden behind overgrowth to actually having curb presence again.
